Core Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) values
We are committed to providing equal opportunities for all employees, workers and job applicants. We aim to create a culture that encourages and values diversity and to operate in an environment of inclusiveness, tolerance, fairness, and mutual trust where staff members feel valued.
Completed 2024 commitments
- Embedded EDI into the selection criteria for projects submitted to our Impact Investment Fund.
- Continued our work to ensure our recruitment material uses inclusive terminology and do not overstate the skills/experience required for a role.
- Unconscious bias training offered to line managers.
EDI support in the wider community or sector
Alignment with our EDI policy was part of the selection criteria when assessing applications to FSC UK’s Impact Investment Fund.
EDI objectives for 2026 onwards
- Explore a greater range of advertising media, and particularly social media, to reach a more diverse talent pool.
- Promote employment benefits, beyond salary, within our next recruitment and thereafter.
- Identify and implement appropriate means to assess how included and valued members of staff feel by end of 2025.
- Review, revise and broaden our EDI Policy by end of 2026.
- Offer unconscious bias training to all staff and encourage participation in EDI related courses.
