Events by the Diverse Sustainability Initiative (DSI)

The DSI’s Mission is to educate and connect. Not only do we do this by sharing free resources on our website, but through meaningful virtual and face-to-face events to connect partners and/or network members in the profession to create a more inclusive profession.

We hold sessions for both our DSI partners and different network members, alongside the regular meetings and coffee catch-ups. We ask our contacts to let us know what topics they’d like to explore, and previous themes have included:

  • Unconsicous Bias
  • Tips for employers, onboarding and retaining new staff
  • How to recruit a diverse board
  • SOS UK Creating a more inclusive environment
  • Inclusive recruitment workshop with actors
  • A talk from the top 3 most inclusive employers- Stonewall
  • Inclusion survey results webinar- sharing change that our network members want to see.

We also ask our DSI Partners to share what has, or hasn’t worked for them throughout their EDI journey, to help other organisations to learn and consider new initiatives or approaches.

Once a year, we host an in-person event for all of our DSI partners and network members to attend. Last year we held two workshops, on the themes of supporting those with imposter syndrome for our network members and creating safer organisation spaces and anti-opressive practices for our DSI partners. The photos below are from the event in 2023.
