We are the UK’s only charity dedicated to training and supporting people to engage in effective and constructive conversations with their local politicians on climate and nature. Our unique approach enables people to have a say in environmental decision-making.

They have committed to uphold this commitment by:

  • Continuing with our EDI in recruitment plan to improve the diversity of our staff team and reduce unconscious bias.
  • We currently run a completely anonymous selection process, ensure candidates are given interview questions in advance and analyse our equal opportunities data.
  • Continue with our EDI Action plan – shared with staff – our commitment to our top 10 EDI actions for 2024 across all areas of our organisation internally and externally.
  • We run a regular EDI staff survey to ensure staff feel they can be their authentic selves at work, are comfortable with raising EDI issues, and are confident in applying EDI principles in the delivery of their work.
  • All staff complete mandatory EDI training including unconscious bias. Our EDI action plan is regularly reviewed, published and staff have the opportunity to feed into this and take part in our EDI working group.
  • Our delivery team have a comprehensive Outreach plan to widen our reach across a diverse range of communities in the UK
  • We embed EDI into every aspect of our work , internal processes and outward facing work including accessibility of our website, engagement activities and events.
